The #1 Reason Why My Pantry Is A Mess

I'm not a super organized person or a neatfreak, but I do like to have things a little bit in order. I have a great pantry, Cade thinks so too. As he has grown I have had to modify what I keep on his level. I am beginning to think nothing is safe. If I put cereal boxes on the bottom shelf he pulls the bag out and gets cereal everywhere. I don't put cans or jars there so he can't drop them on his feet and hurt himself. Paper plates gets scattered everywhere. He has figured out how to open closed boxes of food. Bags of tortillas gets opened. It's a mess! I know I should just start a no Cade in the pantry policy, but sometimes it is cheap entertainment for him while I am trying to finish cooking dinner. One of these days I will get tired of stepping on Cheerios and grains of rice and institute the policy. Probably for sure by the time Avery gets big enough to be a helper in there too!

Here is a rare picture of Avery sleeping and not being held! She is starting to like sleeping in the swing better. As a newborn she didn't like it very well and it seemed to make her throwup. Not good. She sleeps by herself for at least three or four hours at night the rest is in bed with me. Sometimes I just find it easier in the middle of the night not to fight with her on the issue, though later I may regret it.

I ran into my Dad on the way down to Landa's this morning so Cade got to go feed bulls with his Grandpa this morning, I bet he thought that was pretty cool.

Yeah that Avery is starting to sleep by herself... even if for only short periods of time!

Oh, Chrissy, you just can't know how much I love these three blogging sites created by you and your lovely sisters. I despise talking on the phone so, without these blogs that you girls do such a marvelous job of using to capture the essence of the important events in your lives, I would miss most everything in the everyday commotion that goes on. But no, all I have to do is check my darling girls' sites (which I do a couple of times a day to see if there's anything new) and immediately am able to put myself into your homes and watch as you let Cade destroy your pantry. I can't help but think if it were me, I'd have instituted and industriously enforced the NO CADE policy but since it's not me but you, I just grin, shake my head, and thank my stars yet one more time that it's not me with two little pesky varmints 24/7. I much prefer the Fav'rite Aunty / Old Granny role in this onstage production where I can easily exit stage left! ha! But I wouldn't trade my role for all the money in China, not even for my $200,000 that Morgan Stanley has managed to compromise instead of safeguard. Avery is a darling girl, and Cade in his cowboy hat is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I can't wait til I think it's "do-able" for him to visit me once a week for a morning like Carter has been doing for the past couple of months. And of course I am actively planning to teach him to ride -- if I can pry him away from Rance, that is! ha! How I love you all. The single best thing that happened to me in my life was Bunny. The next best thing is my family. And life is so good now up here on Haley Bench in particular and Indian Creek Ranch in general that I can barely contain myself. And you, my precious redhead and your swell family, are a key piece in my happiness pie. xxxooo
