Rance got another horse. Seems like a really nice gelding, four years old and seems really level headed so maybe someday will make a great horse for the kids or I.


Avery adores riding and hates to get off the horse so that Cade can have a turn.
Cade in turn likes to be the big brother and give her instruction like "Hold on real tight to the saddle horn Avery"

Rootin tootin Cowboy Cade

Cade really likes to get his cowboy gear on. He has to have his boots, spurs, jeans (only wranglers will do), chaps, vest, cowboy hat, and rope. If any one of these items is missing ..."How can I be a cowboy without my (fill in the blank with the missing item)?"


Although nothing provides more frustration than his rope as it is constantly tangled up and he does not have the patience to get it untangled so he is always bringing it to me to untangle.

First snow of the season

Cade and Avery couldn't wait to get outside in the snow and make a snowman!

But it wasn't snow man snown and it was really cold and windy.

The horses didn't look very ridable!

Brrrr! Avery didn't even make one lap around the house and she was ready to go inside.

Cade like the snow drifts. They made for good climbing.
