Christmas 2010 "Just what I always wanted!!"

The kids actually slept in Christmas morning which was a bit of a shocker, but very nice for Rance and I to be able to get up and drink a cup of coffee before the craziness began. The kids were very excited to see Santa had brought them a lot of presents and the the reindeer had ate the carrots they left out for them.
Cade dug into his stocking with great excitement and everything he pulled out of it was "Just what I always wanted"
Every present he opened was also "Just what I always wanted"! Good to know he like all of his presents!

Avery also loved every present she opened and of course her favorite was the babydoll and the Disney princess sleeping bag.
 Santa even brought Rance something

Princess markers even for the little princess.

Getting our Christmas Tree

We procrastinated a bit about getting our Christmas tree and finally went to get it 10 days before Christmas.  We saw a neat looking rock along the way that looks a lot like a dragon or some kind of reptile so I had to include a photo it along with our Christmas tree photo.

The kids had fun tramping thru the snow looking for our tree.

Miscellaneous

Avery loves the baby kittens!

Cola doing what puppies do.

The newest member of the family, Cola!

Avery looking sweet, this is not by any means the only look she has!

Partners in crime!

Hanging with Dad!

Cade and Scooby

Cade was helping decorate the house and was very excited about getting out his Scooby Doo stocking that sings.
Here was the picture I had to take of Scooby because the first one was of Cade!

Sleepy heads

A couple of sleepy heads!!  The picture is a little blurry but I didn't want to wake them up and Avery was trying to "help" me the whole time.

Gingerbread houses

My sister Jami made the kids homemade gingerbread houses and sent home all the candy to decorate them so when I got home from work last night the kids and I made frosting and set about decorating them.

Cade had a hard time not eating the candy but they both managed to get most of it on the houses without too much trouble.  Cade kept looking at the licorice and telling me it smelled too good how was he supposed to not eat it?
 Rance even helped decorate.

The finished product up high on a shelf so the kids can't eat the candy too fast.  Although Avery has already had her stool over to the shelf and was picking off what she could reach. Avery's is the one on the left and Cade's is on the left.

Baby Scarlett

Avery can't get enough of her newest cousin Scarlett June and is always asking when can she go hold her again.  We had Everett over one morning and Corinne came with Scarlett to pick up Everett so Avery was very happy to get to see Scarlett.

An attempt at a group picture.  They were all bribed with chocolate chips but Chase was still not happy with the situation.
