Cade the little buckaroo.

Cade likes his dog Cisco
I am a little behind on my blogging this month so I am trying to catch up a little today.

Avery's Wild Hair

Avery was trying to put these goggles on her baby doll.

Avery gets some really wild bed head some mornings as you can see.

"What you don't like my hair!"

Two bugs in a rug

Cade and Rance were getting in some good bonding time hanging out on Cade's bed. I thought they looked pretty cute. They even have matching outfits on.

Does this look comfy to you?

Rance went to town with Avery and when he came home she was sleeping in her car seat so he brought her in and unbuckled her but left her in the seat. WHen he went in to check on her later she had slid out of her seat but was still sleeping.

Avery

Avery is really liking reading books and now can tell you what a cow says "mmmmmmhhh" and what a rooster says "do do do" She likes to page through the book with the farm animals and when she gets to the cow she moos. Then she flips through some more pages and goes back to the cow. Rance and I were getting quite a kick out of her Sunday afternoon. Cade was taking a nap so Avery was getting some rare one on one time. It was so fun.

I am so looking forward to going back to three days a week. This five days a week is not so fun. Then weekend flies by way to fast. Speaking of the weekend it was beautiful out this last weekend and I was ecstatic to get outside and go for a run Sunday and not so ecstatic today when I had to stare at a computer for eight hours while it was gorgeous running weather outside today. We have way to much computer stuff left for our paperwork. I just want to get back to three days a week and doing nurse stuff. I keep telling myself to quit being such a wuss I only have three weeks of it left. The surgery center opens Feb 10.

Messy business

Playing with Everett

I took the kids down to my mom's house this morning and Everett was hanging out with Mom while Clint fed cows so the kids go to play with him for awhile. I think Everett was quite entertained by all of the commotion they brought with them. He is growing so big. As you can see he is bigger than Avery and she is older by about 5 months!

This is Avery giving Everett a hug. She maintained this position for quite a while. I guess she thought Everett was quite huggable! Clint and Corinne got finished with most of their house stuff and should be able to move in this week. I am excited to see it. I haven't been in it at all yet.

Monkey Hunting

We are all getting very tired of the subzero temperatures, endless snow and wind and are working to keep entertained in the house. Cade was monkey hunting last night and what else do you wear monkey hunting except superman jammies, johnny tractor slippers and a cowboy hat?

Cold outside, trying to stay entertained inside

Cade likes Avery's "babies" and "helps" her take care of them. He likes to be snuggled in the chair with all his blankets.

Mom came up for tea today so I dressed Avery up in the dress Mom got her for Christmas so she could see it on. Avery went and found the coonskin cap Cade got for Christmas from Grandpa Harlen and looked pretty cute all dressed up in the dress and hat. I also got a picture of her getting to play with her baby doll. She is getting quite the temper when things don't go her way. She gave the doll to me to hold and when Cade came racing over and took it away she screeched and stomped her feet until Cade gave me back the doll (with some encouragement on my part.)

Cade isn't too impressed with Avery's little temper tantrums but that is probably because he can still throw some pretty good ones when things don't go his way. She looks a little russian in the hat and dress.

Cade went down to the basement with me to get some bread out of the freezer and found the sombrero again. The sombrero in addition to his fancy new hooded towel and fuzzy jams made for a great outfit properly accessorized with his new Christmas rifle which I may add is on its third set of batteries already!

Happy New Year!

I got to get a new phone so Avery can play with the old one as much as she wants now and I don't have to worry about her getting it all slobbery and making it so that no one can hear what I am saying.
A beautiful sunrise up here on the Haley Bench

A new year brings with it a new job for me. After working for eight years in the main OR at the Billings Clinic I am switching to the outpatient surgery center the Billings Clinic is opening right by the hospital. Still only three days a weeks except for the first month in which I will have to work five days a week (yikes)! I am not looking forward to that but I know everyone will survive it even me.
