Hooray for green things!

This is the first and only bloom on all of my lilac bushes since we planted them so I am pretty excited about it.

Nearly all of our little tress made it through the winter and the last couple days have really started to spit out the leaves.

Lettuce coming up in my garden!

Keenan comes up to play

Cade let Keenan wear his old cowboy hat but was having a very hard time sharing his cars or autos as Keenan calls them.

Cade wanted me to take a picture of his binoculars.

Avery and Keenan sharing a wagon ride. I think Keenan looks a little over the wagon ride. He kept wanting to open the door and Avery wanted it shut.

Playing in Cade's room

Mother's Day Branding

Cade was not too impressed by the volume of the bellaring coming from the cows so he took a little while to warm up. He just wanted to sit in the pickup for a while. I think he thought all the cows were mad at him!

Rylie and Cade checking out Sterlings horse.

Cade and Keenan chatting.

Mother's Day Branding

Avery had a great time checking everything out at the branding on Sunday.

She had a pretty good view from the back of the pickup.

Rance doing a little roping.

Sterling was roping too and these kids were his cheering section. They clapped whenever he roped one.

Avery was very exhausted by the time lunchtime rolled around. She had a pretty big morning going to the branding and running around with all of her big cousins.

My Little Helper

Cade was taking a nap Sunday afternoon after the excitement of branding so I just had one little helper to help me get started on planting the garden. Avery was very interested and wanted to be very helpful... if only she was! She made a big tangle of the string and dumped out a bunch of carrot seeds in one big pile. I mostly salvaged the carrot seeds but I am not to sure I won't have a row of carrots and a clump of them also.

Cade and Carter were happily picking dandelions on Tuesday in the sunshine.

Cade and Avery have made very good use of the wagon Cade got for his first birthday from my parents, we ride all over the yard in it and sometimes down to get the mail. Cade always makes sure both he and Avery are buckled in.

Chase smiling for me!

Chase busy checking out Cisco and wishing no doubt he could somehow get a hold of her.

Playing on the tractor

Avery recieved a tractor from her Grandma Dee and Grandpa Larry recently and since the weather was nice we took it outside to play. She was having a great time. Her favorite way to get around in it is to just pick it up and walk with it.

It's a bubble attack! One of Avery's few words right now is bubbles. She also says baby, bull, boots, cracker, and of course MAMA and Daaa. She has about eight teeth coming in all at once so she hasn't been sleeping very good much to my dismay!!

Making Marshmallow suckers

Cade and I melted some easter chocolate and dipped big marshmallows in it and of course put on lots of spinkles. He seemed to think this was a lot of fun and was a big help eating any chocolate that spilled.

I found Cade playing in the sink with his boots and cowboy hat on of course.
