Painting

I took this week off of work to paint the interior of my house. I have been wanting to paint ever since I moved in so this was very exciting. Sunday I started taping everything off and while the kids were at Landa's I painted the kitchen on Monday. Cade loved the tape up on everything he thought it was very pretty. "WOW, pretty" The kitchen is now a brick red. A lot darker and much more dramatic than the white it has been. I have had two years to think about what color to paint it and was still very much undecided when I bought the paint. I started with a light green and put some on the wall Sunday. Hated it. Called Wynne to get a third opinion (maybe I was being paranoid about hating it) Nope she hated it too. After looking at some samples I had brought home we agreed the red would be neat. So Monday morning it was off to town to get more paint. Avery's room is going to be green now. I bought the brick color and just started painting, luckily I LOVE IT. It is a very warm cozy feeling. I don' t have any before pictures but you have all seen my kitchen.
Wednesday I painted the living room and Cade's room and today I am cleaning and touching up the paint job. The living room is a dark chocolate pudding and cade's room is "latte". For now I am done painting, but I still have Avery's room, my room, the two bathrooms, and the utility room. I will have to take off another week to get those done. I am pretty over painting for a while though.
Plus Cade got some cool cowboy decals to put on the wall

I LOVE THE PAINT CHOICES!!! I wanted to suggest red to you when I was there, but Ty would have had to put his 2 cents in about how I would have the whole house red if I could. Enjoy

I love the colors too! Good job. It's always hard trying to figure out paint colors.

Lovely, darling girl, just lovely! Funny how very attractive both red and brown are ... and all the damned white walls we've all lived in and with forever ... although white is DEFINITELY way easier to repaint, etc. However, life is too short to make decisions like that for the environs in which one spends most of their time. xxxooo
